Non-Supervisory Position


Applicants will be required to undergo various pre-employment tests and screenings to determine if they are competent and suitable for the Assembler position. These include: Basic Math Skills Test; Pre-employment Skills Test; Pre-employment Physical Examination; Background Survey; and, Drug Screen.


Manufacturing, inspecting, and testing electronic components and/or other related assemblies or material subcomponents within specified time, safety, and quality requirements.


  • Reading, understanding, and following written (ENGLISH) procedures and assembly prints as necessary to manufacture, test, and inspect products and to perform the requirements of the job.
  • Keeping track of work time & departments in NOVAtime and accurately recording labor on job cards.
  • Accurate and legible record keeping and documentation.
  • Operating or using various machines, power tools, fixtures, presses, hand tools, test equipment, microscopes, measurement devices, and/or other equipment as required to perform the job.
  • Following written or verbal instructions from Coaches, Supervisors, and Managers or other support personnel.
  • Effectively communicating with co-workers, Coaches, Supervisors, Managers, and other support personnel as needed to perform the duties of the job.
  • Following all the policies of BH Electronics, including, but not limited to, policies involving attendance, safety, violence, harassment, drug-free workplace, Quality System Policies, and others.
  • Performing work in an efficient and safe manner with a focus on quality.
  • Keeping confidential information (i.e.: processes and documentation), in the workplace. Some products manufactured at BH Electronics are used in military applications and require confidentiality to meet ITAR requirements.
  • Handling and using various materials required for production. Some of these materials may include, plastics, metals, adhesives, epoxies, varnishes, solvents, and other compounds. Appropriate PPE, ventilation and handling instructions need to be followed to assure quality and safety.
  • Performing various manufacturing, inspection and testing processes according to procedures.
  • Participating in various activities as required (i.e.: CI Events; Job Hazard Analysis; Plant Meetings; Training Sessions; etc.)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and able and willing to work with products produced for military use


  • Must be able to independently move (without the assistance of others) from work station to work station and to other areas of the plant as needed to perform the processes involved with the job.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time with hands and arms in front of you. Standing for up to two hours is also required for some processes.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must have 20/20 vision in both eyes with correction. May not be color blind.
  • Must be able to grasp and hold tools, materials, and parts with either hand, throughout the work shift.
  • Must be able to work with and near various chemicals without serious health consequences (i.e.: may not have known allergies or sensitivities to the materials or chemicals used at BH; and, may not have any pre-existing health condition(s) that would make it unsafe for you to work with the materials or chemicals used at BH).
  • Must have good finger dexterity and good eye-hand coordination.
  • Must be able to handle and assemble various size parts, from very small to large.


  • Must be able to read and write in English language.
  • Must be able to accurately perform basic math problems (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Ability to perform basic algebra problems is helpful.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate (written & verbal) in the English language.
  • Must be able to handle workplace stress (i.e.: deadline pressures, working with co-workers and public, etc.)
  • Must have the ability to learn quickly and have good retention of what you have learned.
  • Must be able to focus on the job at hand without being easily distracted. For example, you must be able to accurately keep count in your head in an environment that is not always quiet.
  • Must be able to understand quality requirements and recognize when something isn't correct.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to detail.
  • Must be able to show respect to others and get along in the work environment without initiating conflicts.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality about your work.

  • Must be flexible. You will need to be able to adapt easily and be able to change tasks on short notice, if necessary.

General hand tools, winding machines, solder machines, solder pots, solder irons, drill press, branding machine, pinning machine, crimping machines, clipping machines, mold press, test equipment, fixtures, calipers, ovens, vacuum chamber.

  • Safety glasses are mandatory in all Production Areas. Chemical splash goggles are required when chemical splash is possible.
